Lab sample grinder/ Swing mill / Shatterbox is also called sealing type sampling machine laboratory, sealed testing grinder, sealed timing grinder, sealed type pulverizing machine. which is mainly used for powder making of raw materials for laboratory testing. Vibratory sampling grinder is widely used in the industries of coal, coking, non-ferrous metal smelting, mining and other industries. The working mode of vibratory sample grinder: vibratory grinding type. In the bowl, the material is packed in the bowl, and the crushing ring and the crushing hammer are in the bowl. Materials are crushed and milled by the crushing ring and the crushing hammer in the high speed rotation withIn 2-6 minutes, and can be ground quickly into 80-200 meshes (0.175-0.075mm) micron powder samples, which are directly used for testing.

Working Principle

 

The material is placed in a sealed material bowl. There is a crushing hammer and a broken ring in the bowl. The motor drives the eccentric hammer to rotate at high speed. The material is made to be made of powder by vibration impact force and friction force.

TENCAN GJ-1 Sample grinder s a ring & puck mill with a sound-proof enclosure that grinds up to 100 grams of samples to a fine analytical powder. Ideal for pulverizing dry, brittle samples and slurry grinding. It swings a dish-shaped grinding container, with a puck and (often) a ring inside, in a tight high speed circle.

 

Swing mill with sound-proof enclosure that accommodates sample sizes ranging from 2 - 100 grams.

  • Multiple-Sample Rack permits processing of three smaller samples.
  • 10-minute electronic timer and environmentally safe, push-button membrane switch.
  • Cam-activated clamp requires only moderate hand pressure to secure the grinding dish in the Shatterbox and is adjustable for containers of different heights.
  • Equipped with lockable casters and a safety interlock system for operator protection.

Accesories/ Grinding containers:

Grinding Containers are available in Hardened Steel, Tungsten Carbide, Alumina Ceramic and Zirconia. Small grinding containers are also available in hardened steel or tungsten carbide to grind 20mL samples.

 

Racks

Allows grinding with either one or three small grinding containers in the TENCAN GJ-1 Swing mill/ Shatterbox. The rack base plate has handles to easily lift rack in and out of the chamber.

 

The Sample grinder GJ-1 is our original ring & puck mill that grinds up to 100 grams of brittle material to an analytical fineness in two minutes or less. The motor is protected by a perforated shield that allows ample air-cooling for continuous running. The perforated metal skirt provides ventilation for continuous operation, and a rubber cover protects against dust. The Sample grinder can be plugged into a standard lab timer and its cam-activated clamp requires only moderate hand pressure to secure the grinding dish and adjusts for containers of different heights.
